Dr. Lisa Shaver

Dr. Lisa ShaverDr. Lisa Shaver is a family practitioner who incorporates Naturopathic medicine and Chinese medicine to treat women, men and their families. She graduated from the College of Natural Medicine in Portland with a Doctorate in Naturopathic medicine and a Masters of Science in Oriental medicine. Dr. Shaver is a licensed primary care provider and is a licensed acupuncturist. She co-founded and runs Everyday Wellness Clinic in downtown Portland. Her clinic accepts most insurance plans.

Dr. Shaver’s family practice focuses on chronic lifestyle diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes, and other conditions as varied as fatigue, weight gain, thyroid, digestive disorders, constipation, IBS, food allergies, headaches, sinusitis, gynecological disorders, menopause, PMS, anxiety, depression and pain.

Dr. Shaver grew up embracing a lifestyle full of healthy cooking, nutritious eating, exercise and the love of the outdoors. Dr. Shaver is a former Peace Corps Volunteer. She lived four years in the Central African Republic where she taught public health. She has worked in DC for the American Red Cross and has volunteered extensively and passionately her entire life. Dr. Shaver loves to cook, create recipes and share them with her patients. She teaches cooking, nutrition & meal planning at Whole Foods, New Seasons and in individual homes or to groups.

Dr. Shaver is an adjunct professor at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine for the Basic Sciences department where she teaches histology.

Dr. Shaver is available to groups for talks on a variety of health and wellness topics.
